Right at the beginning of the Beatles a young skinny, awkward, like a mad man, came to the four boys from Liverpool John Lennon and asked if he could join the band.
John Lennon looked at this poor boy and said:- No! It already has a lot of people!
The poor boy was sad and vowed to do a better band than the Beatles name was Ozzy Osbourne. In 1968 Ozzy formed his band called Black Sabbath that soon engulfed the world and in 1970 finally came heavy metal genre.
Many blame Ozzy, heavy metal by forgetting that there existed two great bands, but the difference was that he did on stage was totally different from what people had seen.
After this happens many other bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, Metallica and many others.
In the 1980s, glam metal became a major commercial force with groups like Mötley Crüe. The Underground scenes produced an array of more extreme, aggressive styles: thrash metal , broke into the mainstream with bands like Anthrax, Megadeth, Metallica eSlayer, while other styles like death metal and black metal remain subcultural phenomena as metal. In the 1980s, it was still created the power metal bands like Helloween and Blind Guardian.Since the mid-1990s, popular styles such as alternative metal and its most famous: industrial metal, rap metal enu metal, often incorporate elements of hip hop and funk. Already the metalcore, which blends extreme metal with hardcore punk, have further expanded the definition of the genre.
