Metallica tinha tudo para ser uma grande banda de metal . Eles já eram conhecidos no mundo todo com suas musicas pesadas e quando eles estavam indo fazer uma turnê o ônibus onde eles estavam sofre um acidente e capota .
Infelizmente um dos integrantes e arremeçado para fora do ônibus e é o único da banda que morre ( Clifford Lee Burton ) todos da banda ficaram chocados com aquele acidente e após um tempo ele é substituído por (Jason Curtis Newsted ) .
Para homenagear o amigo e companheiro que havia morrido naquele acidente de 1986 eles decidem fazer um álbum , que seria chamado de álbum preto como luto pelo amigo .
O que eles não sabiam era que esse álbum seria o mais vendido até os dias de hoje .
