Se você respondeu Bon Jovi ! Acertou !
O álbum levou a banda ao "status" de astros mundiais, com sucessos como "You Give Love a Bad Name", "Livin' on a Prayer", "Wanted Dead or Alive" e "Never Say Goodbye".
O resultado é um dos álbuns favoritos dos fãs, com sucessos como "Bad Medicine", "Lay Your Hands on Me", "Born to Be My Baby" e "I'll Be There For You", que permanecem nos repertórios até hoje.
O hit "Janie, Don't Take Your Love To Town" foi um grande sucesso naquele ano.
If God was a Woman". Algumas músicas chegaram a tocar nas rádios brasileiras, como "Hard Times Come Easy" e "In It For Love".
"Say It Isn't So" e a balada "Thank You for Loving Me" foram os outros singles.
Como aquecimento, a banda lançou o single We Weren't Born To Follow.

When you remember your first crush, your first heartbreak, which is the first band you think?
If you answered Bon Jovi! Right!
This is a band that since the beginning of his career, to a certain extent filled the hearts of those who heard the most beautiful music.
Bon Jovi is a hard rock band, formed in 1983 in the state of New Jersey.
Born March 2, 1962, the band's lead singer, Jon Bon Jovi (John Francis Bongiovi, Jr.), started playing guitar and guitar at age seven, when he learned John deElton songs. In 1969 he founded his first band, called Raze.
At 13, Jon Bon Jovi had his first experience with recording. The recorded song was "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" by Meco Monardo and Daniel Oriolo on a disc Star Wars Christmas, Christmas in the Stars, produced by music producer Tony Bongiovi, his cousin.
In 1978, she met David Bryan (David Bryan Rashbaum) in high school "Sayreville War Memorial High School." The two founded a band called R & B cover Atlantic City Expressway (ACE). By this time even though they were minors, they played in clubs in New Jersey. Still a teenager, Jon Bon Jovi played in the band "Jon Bongiovi and the Wild Ones," which had training similar to that recorded the first album, except for the guitarist.
During the summer of 1980, out of school and working part-time - including work in a shoe store - Jon Bon Jovi finally got a job at the Power Station Studios, a Manhattan recording facility, which the co-owner was his cousin Tony Bongiovi (who worked with bands like Aerosmith, The Ramones and Talking Heads). Jon made several demos (including one produced by Billy Squier) and sent to many record companies without success.
In 1983 Jon recorded the song "Runaway" with musicians, known as "The All Star Review" with Tim Pierce on guitar, Roy Bittan on keyboards, Larock Frankie on drums and Hugh McDonald on bass. The song became an instant hit in the summer of 1983.
Given the successful single, Jon needed a band. The future members of the group had crossed in the past, but the original lineup did not join until March 1983, when Jon called David Bryan, Alec John Such who called and Tico Torres. They got a record deal with Polygram in January 21, 1984, the year they released their first album, Runaway, and returned to succeed. Regarding the name Bon Jovi, this came from a joke that the band did with the name Jon.
Several guitarists passed through the band, including Dave "The Snake" Sabo, a future member of Skid Row (a touch of summer, 1984), until finally Richie Sambora joined the group. Prior to joining the band, Sambora had toured with Joe Cocker, played with the group Mercy and even made a test to be a member of Kiss. He also played on the album Lessons with the band "Message", which was released on CD through Long Island Records in 1995. Message was originally signed to Swan Song (Led Zeppelin), but the album was never released.
Tico Torres was also an experienced musician. He recorded with Miles Davis and played live with "The Marvelettes" and Chuck Berry.
David Bryan was a natural recruit. As he left the band that he founded along with Jon, spent the Juilliard School, the famous music school and then returned to partner with the old school friend.
In 80 years now Bon Jovi was a band. During an opening act for the band Scandal, the group drew the attention of record executive Derek Shulman, who signed with aPolyGram.
With the help of new manager Doc McGhee, the band's debut album, Bon Jovi, was released on January 21, 1984. The album reached gold in the U.S. (over 500,000 copies sold) and was also released in the UK. The band opened for ZZ Top at Madison Square Garden (before the album was released), and for Scorpions and Kiss naEuropa, and concerts in Japan
The slight success of the first album encouraged the producers for a second.Launched in 1985 is 7800 ° Fahrenheit, but the reception was poor. The British magazine Kerrang!, Which was quite positive about the debut album, called this "a poor imitation of the Bon Jovi we know and learn to like it." Jon Bon Jovi himself later said that the album could and should be better.
For the next album, the band began writing songs with songwriter Desmond Child (who was appointed to the band by Gene Simmons). Slippery When Wet, released em1986, was produced and recorded by Bruce Fairbarn in Vancouver, Canada. The album took the band to the "status" of worldwide stars, with hits like "You Give Love a Bad Name," "Livin 'on a Prayer" "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "Never Say Goodbye." Jon Bon Jovi says the album is named ("slippery when wet") because of road signs, but David Bryan says of the album name, "while recording the album, we often went to a club streaptease where beautiful girls spent soap and water on each other. They were slippery because of that, and you could not hold even if you wanted too. Slippery when wet! one of us cried out automatically and the rest of us already knew: that had to be the title of the new album! Initially we were going to put a picture of some beautiful tits, really big one on the cover, but when the PMRC (a committee of morality under the command of Tipper Gore, wife of Senator and former Vice President United States, Al Gore) found out we were in trouble. So we decided to put a pretty decent cover. "
Interestingly, it is known that at the time, Jon Bon Jovi did not want to include "Livin 'On A Prayer" (which would become one of the most successful rock band and at all times. The music video is displayed as the MTV history) on the album, and it only got the song thanks to the effort to convince the singer Sambora about the potential of the song. Nevertheless, today many fans lament the fact that the song "Edge of a Broken Heart" has not entered on the record. Currently, Jon Bon Jovi showed agree with this view, recognizing that the song could have been a tremendous success.
In the U.S., the album sold over 12 million copies since its release worldwide. On the tour that followed, Jon Bon Jovi began having vocal difficulties. The extremely high notes and sustained damaged his voice permanently. With the help of a vocal coach, Bon Jovi continued to tour and Jon began singing in tones slightly lower since then.
The next album, New Jersey (originally called "Sons of Beaches" and planned as a double album) was released in 1988, [12] again produced by Bruce Fairbarn. The album was recorded shortly after the end of Slippery When Wet tour because the band wanted to prove that there was only a temporary success. The result is an album of fan favorites, with hits like "Bad Medicine", "Lay Your Hands on Me," "Born to Be My Baby" and "I'll Be There For You", which remain in the repertoire today .However, the album took the band straight from the last tour for a thorough greater. The constant life on the road almost destroyed the strong relationship between Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora.
Years 1990In the early 1990s, the band was saturated with work. The fights between the members became constant and the band decided to "take a break." Also in 1990, Jon Bon Jovi released his first solo album, Blaze of Glory and that was the soundtrack of the movie "Young Guns II" (Young Guns 2). On the CD, hits such as "Blaze Of Glory" (your clip today is one of the displayed throughout the history of MTV), Miracle and Santa Fe
Richie Sambora has also released a solo album. Stranger in This Town is 1991 and was based on his blues roots. The work did not call as much media attention, sales were low and the promotional tour was quite short. The show was the best remembered of San Diego (USA) in 1991, catch of the soundboard and recorded in some bootleg CDs around the world.
In 1992, the band got together to record Keep the Faith, the fifth studio album (whose original name was "Revenge"). Letters containing more political than romantic, the album brings a critical message from society. On this album the band also takes a new look, changing the hair, actually coming in the 1990s. The album sold millions of copies worldwide and was considered a success.
In 1994, Bon Jovi Cross Road collection launches, one of the most sold and popular in the world and contained two new songs: "Always," which was originally made for the soundtrack of the movie "The Blood of Romeo," curiously did much more successful than the film, and "Someday I'll Be Saturday Night," which had to be removed from the charts on MTV Brazil to give chance to other clips. This year, Alec John Such left the band's bassist position, under conflicting rumors of alcoholism, drug use and motorcycle accidents. The bassist Hugh McDonald takes over.
In 1995 it released the album These Days. [15] Marked by a grim mood, even more socially critical than Keep the Faith and letters clearly more complicated and mature, the band scored as suc-hit ballad "This Is not a Love Song "and the title track" These Days. " In the same year, they recorded three consecutive shows at the legendary stadium "Wembley", London, with all tickets sold out. To promote the album, the quartet toured throughout most of the world, passing through countries like South Africa, India eTailândia. In Brazil, the band performed in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba, and all sold tickets to their shows.
After the end of the tour, in 1996, Bon Jovi decided to give one more stop so their members could devote themselves to their personal projects.
In 1997, Jon Bon Jovi released his second solo album, "Destination Anywhere", with strong influences from British rock. Along with the album, was released a short film of the same name. Based on the lyrics of "Destination Anywhere", the film had the collaboration of Mark Pellington as the director and screenwriter, and with the participation of the actors Kevin Bacon, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg and Annabela Sciorra. As part of the dissemination of the work, Jon came to Brazil and performed in programs Domingão the large audience as Bill Murray, Planeta Xuxa, both of Rede Globo, and Free Program, the SBT. The hit "Janie, Do not Take Your Love To Town" was a great success this year.
The following year (1998), Richie Sambora did the same, with the album Undiscovered Soul, who showed his musical maturity and with the participation of Steve Tyler, lead singer of Aerosmith, the harmonica of "If God Was a Woman."Some songs came on the radio in Brazil, such as "Hard Times Come Easy" and "In It For Love".
In 2001 because of the demands of fans clamoring for a live album, the band released One Wild Night Live 1985-2001, containing a string of successes in some of his best performances over the years. The 2000, after five years without releasing an album, the band got together and launched Crush, which brings the opening song "It's My Life", considered one of the biggest hits of the group's history. "Say It Is not So" and the ballad "Thank You for Loving Me" were the other singles. In the same year released the DVD The Crush Tour, recorded in Zurich, Switzerland. The following year, in 2002, the band released the album Bounce, inspired in part in the attacks of Sept. 11. Containing the hit singles "Everyday" and "Misunderstood", the album is characterized by having more modern sounds and being heavier at the request of his own band's guitarist, Richie Sambora.
In 2003 is released This Left Feels Right, a collection of recordings of his hits in different versions of the originals. The initial idea was to release an album of a live show, made in Japan, with nearly 3 hours. However, they decided last minute that the disc would be this way. The acceptance from the fans was not good.
At the end of 2004, comes to market the Box Set: 100,000,000 Bon Jovi Fans Can not Be Wrong, celebrating 20 years of existence the band and the 100 million albums sold worldwide. Currently, the band has sold an estimated 130 million copies of his works.
In September 2005 was released the album Have a Nice Day The tour began in November in Chicago and the 1st single for promotion was the title track of the album. The album sold 4.5 million units worldwide (as of October 2006). The track "Who Says You Can not Go Home" was released in a duet with Jennifer Nettles of the band Sugarland American country, and made history being the first song of a rock band to stay number one in radio Country music. The tour to promote the album was a tremendous success and won Billboard Award for Best Tour, Best of Show (the last tour at Giants Stadium in New Jersey. But just as the tour passed through the northern hemisphere, there were rumors that the success the first tour, Bon Jovi would make a second tour, passing through the Southern Hemisphere countries such as Brazil, Australia, South Africa and Argentina, is speculation.
In 2007, the band released Lost Highway, an album dedicated to the country, focusing on what worked in 2005 (The song Who Says You Can not Go Home Country exploded on the charts). Even focusing on Country, Lost Highway, the first hit on the Billboard sales, something the band could not since 1989, with Lost Highway. The band Lost Highway Tour began in October 2007, doing 10 shows in New Jersey, United States, the band went through several countries such as Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal (Making one of the best shows of the Rock in Rio Lisbon 2008, England, Spain, among others. The tour ended in July 2008 where the band played two shows in a row at Madison Square Garden in New York. The band will release a DVD / Blu-ray Live, containing the last two shows the tour in 2010.
In 2009, the band released a documentary, When We Were Beautiful, records showing the Lost Highway tour, the most successful of the group. The documentary also commemorates the 25-year career of Bon Jovi. Moreover, it is shown a new song with the same name as the film, as showing that the band would still have plans for the same year.
In November 2009, the band will release the album The Circle, 10.11 days.According to Jon and Richie, will be returned to an album Rock N 'Roll Band Classic. Jon Bon Jovi says that after several albums with different styles, it's time to return to the style that established the band. As a warm, the band released the single We Were not Born To Follow. CriticaramRichie Sambora fans because there is no ground in music. Richie at the request of fans, he recorded the new soil. The new version of the song can be heard in the clip, or in The Circle. In October will be released the tour dates.
The Circle The album was a hit singles, including three: "We Were not Born To Follow," "When We Were Beautiful" which is nominated to receive an EMA as the best live performance this year and "Superman Tonight" which was Top 5 in the famous TV channel VH1.
Year 2010The Circle The Tour began in February in the U.S. state of Hawaai on the island of Honolulu. After sold out shows everywhere the band comes to the American continent. Shows how great stadiums in Meadowloads in New Jersey.
Right at the announcement by the Spanish press that the band was the first major attraction on the issue confirmed the Rock in Rio Madrid.
