  Mais conhecido como Chaim Weitz , ( Gene Simmons) nasceu Haifa, 25 de agosto de 1949 . Ele é vocalista , baixista e fundador da banda que muitos apelidavam de Hard Rock Kiss...
   Simmons é mais conhecido pelo seu apelido "The Demon". Contrariamente a muitas personalidades do rock, Simmons afirma "nunca ter consumido drogas, nunca ter fumado nem nunca ter bebido álcool demais em toda a sua vida. É famoso pelo seu jeito demoníaco durante os shows, é também famoso por seu baixo em forma de machado, Axe Bass. Naturalizado norte-americano, é um ex-professor primário. Dentre suas melhores composições estão Rock and Roll All Night, Shout It Out Loud, Chritine Sixteen, I Love It Loud, War Machine, entre outros hits. Simmons também estreou o seu próprio reality show "Gene Simmons: Family Jewels" exibido na A&E.
 
  Chaim Weitz (que posteriormente mudaria seu nome para Eugene Klein) nasceu em Haifa, Israel e mudou-se com a mãe para os Estados Unidos quando tinha nove anos, indo morar em Queens, Nova Iorque (durante a Segunda Guerra sua mãe esteve num campo de concentração).
   Gene aprendeu inglês lendo histórias em quadrinhos de super heróis, livros de ficção científica e filmes, particularmente os de terror (além de inglês, ele também fala hebraico, alemão e húngaro). Formou-se pelo Richmond College e foi professor de inglês no Harlem espanhol.
    Ele aprendeu a tocar guitarra, mas preferiu o baixo porque, segundo ele, existiam muitos guitarristas, e queria ser diferente.
    Um amigo, Steve Coronel, o apresentou a Stanley Eisen (mais tarde, Paul Stanley). De começo eles não se gostaram, mas depois se enturmaram e juntos fundaram uma das mais importantes bandas de Hard Rock e Heavy Metal do mundo: Kiss, em janeiro de 1973. Perfeccionista, entra de cabeça nos negócios da banda, encarando a fantasia e explorando (e bem) o marketing dela. Mulherengo convicto, tem centenas de polaroid nuas das garotas com quem (segundo ele, mais de 5 mil) transou na estrada. Namorou as cantoras Cher e Diana Ross. 
   Mora com a atriz e playmate Shannon Tweed há mais de 23 anos, com quem tem dois filhos, (Sophie Simmons e Nicholas Simmons).
     Depois do sucesso da banda nos anos 70/80, Gene começa a descobrir novas bandas. Descobriu o Van Halen e Cinderella. Ele retira a máscara em 1983 com o lançamento do álbum "Lick it Up" a ficou assim até 1996 quando houve a "Reunion Tour" com todos os membros originais do Kiss. Na década de 80 Gene tentou a carreira de ator estrelando filmes como "Runaway" (de 1985, com Tom Selleck, da série Magnun), "Wanted Dead or Alive", entre outros. 
     Gene resolveu ampliar seus horizontes e passou a fazer várias participações em filmes e séries (fez o papel de um traficante na série Third Watch), produziu novas bandas (Keel foi uma delas), desenhos animados, sua própria revista, etc. Nesta época deixou o Kiss um pouco de lado, coisa do que ele se arrependeu futuramente.
    É famoso mundialmente por sua gigantesca língua e nos palcos chama a atenção por sua demoníaca figura, por cuspir fogo, vomitar sangue, além de tocar seu baixo em formato de machado. Tem sua própria revista "Gene Simmons Tongue Magazine", seu próprio selo (Simmons Record), desenho animado "My Dad the Rock Star". Em dezembro de 2001 lançou seu livro, KISS And Make-up, onde conta coisas inesperadas da banda. 
    Em agosto de 2006 estreou seu reality show "Gene Simmons: Family Jewels" no canal A&E, e devido ao seu sucesso, teve uma segunda temporada onde entre muitas coisas mostra a cirurgia plástica a que se submeteu. Em 2009 promoveu um leilão beneficente para uma instituição onde o produto que foi arrematado por quinze mil dólares era uma pedra retirada cirurgicamente de um de seus rins.

 Tarja Turunen irá fazer shows no Brasil em 2014 . Os shows deverão acontecer no mês de setembro ainda sem , data e local definido .
   Esse show que ela fara é para começar a turnê de seu mais belo álbum intitulado de Colours in the Dark . Lembrando ainda a todos os fans , que a vocalista participará do show do Angra que fará em São Paulo , no dia 25 de Agosto .

   De acordo com ao FestivalBlog , Tuomas Holopainen estaria aceitando a opinião dos fãs dessa vez , em relação a banda . Ele estaria pensando em deixar Floor Jansen definidamente no cargo de vocalista , do Nightwish .
     O mesmo se dizia confuso em questão a esse assunto , e não queria tomar nenhuma atitude sem pensar nos dois lados .
    Tuomas , diz que demoraria talvez 1 mês ou até mais para pensar se a colocaria definitivamente nesse cargo . 
   Não falo por todos os fãs que estão anciosos com essa decisão , mas saibam que dessa vez ele está fazendo a coisa certa  .

Em uma recente entrevista ao site Melodic Rock , ele contou que readquiri os direitos de três projetos da EMI que os executivos da gravadora não deram lá muito apoio, qu tinha certeza que poderia remixar e acrescentar todo tipo de conteúdo bom, interessantes – vídeos, de  gravações ao vivo, mixagens alternativas, etc.”, disse ele. “’Restless Heart’, ‘Into The Light’, dos quais achamos muito material inacabado e nunca lançado, além de termos documentado todo o processo em vídeo… uma versão mais longa de ‘Starkers In Tokyo’… imagens dos ensaios e uma entrevista recente com ADRIAN VANDENBERG e eu. E também algumas gravações muito boas do que ele achava que seria nossa última turnê em 1997. Doug Aldrich e eu estamos trabalhando nos arranjos para uma versão totalmente nova e acústica de um ‘Best Of’ com algumas canções novas.

 Hoje é o aniversário de uma , das maiores cantoras de heavy metal do mundo . Estou falando de Tarja Turunen.
    Soile Susanna Turunen Cabuli ['tɑrjɑ…'turunen]a mesma nasceu em Kitee, no dia 17 de Agosto de 19771 ) é uma cantora lírica (soprano), compositora e pianista finlandesa que ficou mundialmente conhecida como vocalista da banda de metal sinfônico Nightwish, entre 1996 e 2005. Atualmente ela segue em carreira solo.
    Tarja nasceu no pequeno vilarejo finlandês de Puhos, em Kitee, única filha entre três irmãos, e desde criança sempre apresentou interesse pela música; sua mãe foi a primeira a notar isso, quando, em uma festa da família, a garotinha de apenas três anos mostrou sua voz para um público pela primeira vez, com a canção "Enkeli Taivaan" (Anjo do Céu).
     Depois disso, sua mãe decidiu colocá-la no coral da paróquia que a família frequentava, onde ela podia praticar regularmente e ter aulas adicionais em um grupo infantil.
      Aos seis anos, ela começou a ter aulas particulares de piano erudito, e apesar de morar a vinte quilômetros do local das aulas, ela contava com o apoio de seus pais, que faziam questão que sua filha não faltasse às lições.
      Na escola primária, Tarja era costumeiramente convidada a cantar em pequenas festas escolares, por isso, nessa época, a cantora chegou a sofrer bullying por parte das meninas de sua escola, por sempre tirar notas altas nos testes e ser uma das alunas preferidas dos professores com isso, ela se tornou uma criança mais introvertida, tímida e a maioria de seus amigos eram garotos, os quais guardavam por ela admiração e tratavam-na com respeito.
      Seus grandes ídolos na infância eram cantores de soul como Whitney Houston e Aretha Franklin, e nessa época sua família achava que seria o caminho seguido pela garota, porém, aos quinze anos, Tarja mudou-se para Savonlinna, onde estudou na Savonlinna Senior Secondary School of Art and Music, onde passou a ter aulas de canto lírico e seguiu focando-se nesse estilo.
     No mesmo ano, ela se apresentou pela primeira vez para mais de mil pessoas como solista em um concerto de Natal.
       Aos dezoito anos, mudou-se novamente, agora para a cidade de Kuopio, onde ingressou na Academia Sibelius de Artes, onde pôde desenvolver realmente seus dotes musicais, aperfeiçoando-se no canto lírico e música de câmara.
    No dia 1 de Janeiro de 2003, Tarja casou-se com o empresário argentino Marcelo Cabuli, o qual já conhecia desde sua primeira excursão pela América Latina, em 2000;14 eles vivem juntos até hoje. Em dezembro de 2012, Tarja postou duas fotos em sua conta pessoal no facebook.
     Em uma delas, Tarja aparecia segurando um pequeno bebê, e na outra, ela aparecia ao lado de um carrinho de bebê.
